Barbara Kudrycka is a Professor of Administrative Law and Public Administration Science. Being the Member of the European Parliament since May 2014 she is the Vice-Chair of the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE). She is active in Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE), as well. Professor Kudrycka was a Minister of Science and Higher Education in Poland (2007-2013) and the Chancellor of Białystok School of Public Administration (1998-2007).
She was elected to the European Parliament for the first time in 2004. Until 2007 she sat on the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs and was a member of the Delegation for relations with Belarus. Professor Barbara Kudrycka is a member of Transparency International Polska and Amnesty International.
