Maja Jukić Director of the National Centre for External Evaluation of Education in Croatia

Maja Jukić is the Director of the National Centre for External Evaluation of Education, Republic of Croatia. After 5 years in industry where she worked as system and process engineer, she was a teacher in VET school for 16 years, during which she integrated financial and entrepreneurial education in electro-technics, so it was practiced especially during team preparation of final students’ work. In 2012 she was STE on the “MOSES project”, promoting the development of entrepreneurial competencies of children and young people and worked on designing and delivering a workshop on "Developing a business idea & business plan" as a part of the "Junior business incubator." In period 2010 – 2013 she worked on few a grants for VET schools as external expert. Her tasks were creating, delivering and organising teacher training for development of VET school curriculum, innovative/student-centred teaching and learning methods, quality assurance, especially on entrepreneurial education. Since October 2013. She is a SEECEL key expert on development of teacher training for EL on establishing of the peer learning/peer review methodology and monitoring the progress in relation to implementation of Principles 1 and 8 of the Small Business Act for Europe. She also ensures capacity building through the development of in-service teacher training modules responding to the identified needs of the teachers and enabling effective delivery of entrepreneurial learning within educational institutions.
