Francesco Rullani Assistant Professor in Entrepreneurship and Management of Innovation at LUISS Guido Carli in Rome

Francesco Rullani is Assistant Professor in Entrepreneurship and Management of Innovation at LUISS Guido Carli in Rome (IT). He has been Assistant Professor in Management and Economics of Innovation at Copenhagen Business School (DK) and member of the Danish Research Unit for Industrial Dynamics (DRUID). He has worked for Fondazione ENI Enrico Mattei (IT), and received his PhD from LEM at Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies (IT). He has been visiting fellow at Stanford University (USA) and Bocconi University (IT). His research focuses on self-organizing groups of actors. In particular, the dynamics of the leadership, the incentives behind the launch of new projects, the strategies used to manage resource in self-organizing communities, are among the key issues he has been interested in. Francesco as explored these themes in the field of free/open source software, employing mainly quantitative techniques applied to large databases, but also theoretical elaboration and formal modeling.
